WASHINGTON — U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan on Thursday ordered a 14-day halt to construction of President Donald Trump’s planned 250-foot triumphal arch in Washington, Straight Arrow News reported.

The order sided with District of Columbia and Virginia officials who argue the project lacks proper authorization and would disrupt traffic. It came shortly after a federal planning commission approved the arch 8-4.

The structure would stand between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery. Three Vietnam War veterans and an architectural historian have also sued to stop it.
